TPM3D technical team has been engaged in industrial-grade 3D printing business since 1999. It has become an industry brand focusing on 3D printing for nearly 20 years.
Since as early as 2003, TPM3D Optoelectronics has cooperated with a German company in the research and development of 3D printing process and equipment with laser sintering as the core technology, and launched the first generation of Precimid series 3D printing high-performance nylon powder suitable for laser sintering and moulding techniques in 2005.
In 2007, TPM3D released the first laser-sintered 3D printing system for the direct manufacture of nylon plastic parts in China, and became the first 3D printing technology company in Asia to grasp laser sintering as the core technology, which took the lead in filling the technical gap for Asian region.
In 2008, TPM3D launched the first laser-sintered nylon powder additive manufacturing system in China as well as TPM ELITE P4500 and nylon powder Precimid1120.
In 2013, TPM3D entered into a joint venture agreement with Stratasys, a 3D printing industry giant from the United States, and started a Shanghai joint venture plan to establish Shuowei 3D Printing Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
in 2014, which is engaged in the R&D, production and sales of industrial-grade 3D printing technology with laser-sintered high polymer and metallic materials as the core technology. The TPM3D team, favored by industry giants for its strength, becomes the first company in Asian region to enter into a joint venture with a US 3D printing industry giant.
In 2017, the TPM3D laser-sintered additive manufacturing system passed the CE inspection of TUV Rheinland, and it became the first engaged in the research, development and manufacturing of additive manufacturing system in China with TUV’s CE certification.
In 2018, TPM3D released a high polymer laser-sintered additive manufacturing system independently developed and produced in China. By means of high-temperature sintering of nylon powder and polyetheretherketone PEEK, it provides personalized medical solutions such as orthopedic and rehabilitation fixed brace, preoperative model, surgical guide and prosthesis implant. In the same year, it released the first clean production solution in the industry, which creates a precedent for clean printing.
TPM3D Asia Advanced Materials Printing Center
Located in Yannan High-tech Zone Big Data Industry Park of Jiangsu Province, TPM3D Asia Display & Training and SLS Advanced Materials Print Center (the Center for short), with a floor space of more than 1,000 square meters, vows to boost the research and development of TPM3D advanced materials and make innovations in the industry application. Also, the Center will bring all Asian customers and partners more visualized SLS process, provid on-the-job training experince.
The Center is composed of industrial application exhibiting area, Advanced Materials Intelligent Printing platform, Medical Sterile Experiment R & D lab, SLS Post-processing Center and Multimedia Conference Area.
Herein, the application exhibiting area showcases diversified print exhibits in such fields as automobile, medical services, consumer electronics, and cultural creativity.
Equipped with more than ten SLS printers, the Industry and Advanced Materials Intelligent Printing Center, focusing on PA6 like and PEEK high-performance polymer materials printing process research, and application and development, joins hands with domestic and overseas strategic partners in the field of polymer materials R & D and manufacturing, to further explore application of SLS advanced materials in medical services, high-end industries, and aerospace.
The Medical Sterile Experiment R & D lab will be dedicated on the medical application to carry out further R & D and production, in a bid to achieve the capacity of designing diverse custom medical equipment and printing the prototypes.
With improvement of its business model and implementation of its R & D project, the TPM3D Asia Display & Training and SLS Advanced Materials Print Center, by virtue of definite positioning and consummate hardware resources, will provide domestic and overseas customers with more abundant SLS printing material systems and more in-depth application solutions.
3D Printing Digital Medical Center
The 3D Printing Digital Medical Center was set up in cooperation with Zhongshan Chenxinghai Hospital, providing customized and accurate medical devices and service, including 3D image reconstruction, surgical guides and rehabilitation equipments .
Orientation: To build a digital medical benchmarking project in the Pearl River and even in the Great Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, to lead the innovative application of medical science and technology .
Facilities: To better serve patients, the center introduced advanced equipment and software, such as EASYSTEPS plantar pressure acquisition system and SPINE3D human clinical posture scanner from staly, TPM3D’s laser sintering 3D printing system, Scantech’s color 3D handheld scanner, French RODIN4D prosthetic orthopedic special repair software and CUBE prosthetic orthosis 3D design software.
Services: The center construction includes three phase, and we can provide orthotic insoles, orthotic pillows, scoliosis braces, knee orthosis ,the application of surgical guide plates for head, pelvis, spine and knee joints and 3D printing of dental braces ,and the development of orthotic standardized implant products.
Surplus’s Research
After years of development, on account of the different applications, six types of TPM3D S-series laser-sintered additive manufacturing system , four types of P-series laser-sintered additive manufacturing system, and more than 10 types of macromolecular powder for manufacturing top-quality parts have been successfully developed for TPM3D brand, with more than 30 national patents. The headquarters is currently set up in Shanghai, as well as a R&D and production base in Zhongshan City of Guangdong Province and a testing center in Texas of the United States.
With the increasing popularity of 3D printing technology and the continuous development of 3D printing process varieties and level, TPM3D’s laser-sintered additive manufacturing process has been widely recognized in the industry. It is featured in compact equipment volume, the absence of editing support, multi-layer steric parts placement, active full-process temperature management, extensible automatic powder loading function, environmental dust management and multiple models with single interface in the field of industrial-grade 3D printing process for rapid manufacturing and small-scale plastic parts.
