In a recent project involving the 3D printing of an aircraft regenerative cooling combustion chamber, the HBD 1000Pro metal additive manufacturing (AM) system triumphed over the challenge of treating internal surfaces. The combustion chamber's outer wall is characterized by a multitude of longitudinally curved rectangular internal channels, each with a cross-section of 1mm by 1.5mm.
Traditional manufacturing methods would take approximately two months to produce such a component, but the metal 3D printing process has not only lowered production costs but also drastically reduced the production timeline to about ten days. Furthermore, it has enhanced the product qualification rate and uniformity, significantly diminishing the reliance on manual craftsmanship.

In efforts to strengthen their technological expertise and innovative edge, HBD has embarked on extensive collaborations with companies in the Consumer Electronics Industry, focusing on exploring lean production models tailored for scalable additive manufacturing solutions.
One notable collaboration involves the Luban Titanium Alloy Hinge, independently developed by HONOR, with participation from several additive manufacturing companies including HBD. This hinge is a key component of the HONOR Magic V2, playing a pivotal role in achieving a remarkable thickness breakthrough of 9.90mm. By harnessing the benefits of titanium alloy technology, the axle cover within the hinge is made lighter and thinner, resulting in reduced overall thickness and weight of the folding screen.
