On June 20, 2025, the "2025 Additive Manufacturing High-Quality Development Conference and Association Election Summit" was successfully held in Shenzhen. The event was jointly organized by the Shenzhen 3D Printing Association, Shenzhen New Materials Industry Association, and Shenzhen ADDDLIT High-Tech Development Co., Ltd.
With the theme “Smart Innovation for the Future, Quality-Driven Additive Manufacturing”, the conference brought together nearly a hundred participants—including government officials, industry experts, and corporate leaders—to discuss new pathways for technological innovation and industrial upgrading in additive manufacturing. Attendees included Mr. Xie Shaodong, Director of the Equipment Division at Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Ms. Li Yin, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen New Materials Industry Association, both of whom delivered keynote remarks.
Government-Enterprise Synergy: A Joint Vision for Industry Development In his address, Director Xie emphasized that additive manufacturing is a vital engine of next-generation productivity. He highlighted the need for continued policy support and cross-sector collaboration to scale technologies from lab prototypes to industrial application.
During the event, the Joint Office for Vocational Certification in Additive Manufacturing was officially inaugurated. The platform will spearhead professional certification for "Additive Manufacturing Equipment Operators" across Guangdong Province—aiming to standardize talent development and strengthen the sector's skilled labor force. Frontier Technology Drives Industrial Innovation The keynote session focused on cutting-edge breakthroughs and applied innovations in 3D printing: · Prof. Chen Zhangwei (Shenzhen University) presented pioneering results in ceramic additive manufacturing for aerospace and biomedical fields. · Prof. Yan Ming (Southern University of Science and Technology) explored non-equilibrium and non-uniform phenomena in metal laser AM, offering insights for process optimization. · Quan Jueling (Siemens China) advocated for "application-driven innovation," highlighting the synergy between digitalization and additive manufacturing through real-world industrial cases. · Mr. Luo Meng, Co-founder and CTO of ADDDLIT, delivered a keynote titled “Continuous Fiber Reinforced Composite Additive Manufacturing: Revolutionizing Lightweight Industrial Development”. He offered a deep dive into: o The evolution and technology of continuous fiber composites o The current IP landscape in China o Future trends such as multi-material composite fabrication and intelligent forming control o Opportunities for cross-disciplinary innovation in architecture, medicine, and beyond
Other highlights included: · Dr. Liu Ye (Sublime 3D) presented breakthroughs in hybrid extrusion and powder metallurgy. · Mr. Liu Xiaofeng (Bank of China, Shenzhen Branch) introduced cross-border financial solutions to support the global expansion of 3D printing enterprises. New Leadership, New Vision The conference also marked the successful completion of the Shenzhen 3D Printing Association's leadership transition. Under the direction of Ms. Li Yin, the election concluded with the appointment of Shenzhen ADDDLIT High-Tech Development Co., Ltd. as the new President Unit. Mr. Luo Meng, Co-founder and CTO of ADDDLIT, was named President of the Association, with Ms. Li Yin serving as Executive President. The new board aims to uphold the principles of "Technology-Driven Leadership and Ecosystem Co-Building," focusing on: · Cross-sector innovation along the industrial value chain · Stronger industry-academia collaboration · Advancing standardization and internationalization Looking Ahead: Building a Smart Manufacturing Stronghold The successful event energized the additive manufacturing community and created a robust platform for exchange and collaboration.
