The 4th International Conference on Research Advances in Additive Manufacturing (RAAM 2024) will be held on June 28th-30th, 2024 in Nanjing, China.
The RAAM International Conference, initiated by Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), serves as an extension of the world’s famous conference in the field of additive manufacturing, the Solid Freeform Fabrication Symposium (SFF), which has been held for 34 times. Professor David Bourell from The University of Texas at Austin, Chairman of the SFF International Conference, serves as the Chair of the Scientific Committee. Professor Wenhe Liao, Vice President of NJUST, serves as the Chair of the Organizing Committee. RAAM aims to establish an international academic exchange platform for additive manufacturing technology, prompting global academic dialogue and mutual learning, and leading the international cutting-edge innovation and vigorous development of additive manufacturing technology.

Since its inaugural session in Nanjing in 2019, RAAM has been successfully held three times. Bolstered by the enthusiastic participation and sustained support of experts and scholars worldwide, RAAM is evolving into a highly-regarded international conference in the field of additive manufacturing. The series of RAAM conferences has gathered over a thousand scholars from more than 30 countries, including China, The United States, The United Kingdom, Belgium, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, etc.

Notable attendees include Professor David Bourell, initiator of the U.S. Additive Manufacturing Roadmap; Professor Jean-Pierre Kruth from KU Leuven, a pioneer and founder in laser powder bed fusion technology; Professor Eric MacDonald from The University of Texas at El Paso, Editor-in-Chief of Additive Manufacturing Letters; Professor T. DebRoy from Pennsylvania State University, the founding editor of Science and Technology of Welding and Joining; Professor Chee-Kai Chua from Singapore University of Technology and Design, Editor-in-Chief of Virtual and Physical Prototyping; Professor Christopher Tuck, Faculty Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham; Dr. Christoph Kiener, the Chief Scientist for 3D Printing from Siemens in Germany; Professor Yimin  Xie from RMIT University, Fellow of Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering; Professor Yinghong Li from Air Force Engineering University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Huaming Wang from Beihang University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor Guoqing Wang from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor Weihong Zhang from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and Professor Lan Jiang from Beijing Institute of Technology, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The RAAM conference is supporting extensive and in-depth discussion on the international research frontiers including the origins and developing trends of additive manufacturing, the innovative design of advanced structures, high-performance material manufacturing, monitoring, simulation and quality control, and industrial applications.
