As one of China’s leading 3D printing filament manufacturers, iPRO has been on a roll this year, launching TPU, PPA, and PLA product series in rapid succession.

On August 6, 2025, iPRO announced two groundbreaking fiber-reinforced PC filaments—PC GF (glass fiber) and PC CF (carbon fiber).

While PC (polycarbonate) boasts excellent physical properties and chemical stability, it has historically faced significant technical hurdles in 3D printing, resulting in domestic PC filaments often falling short of market demands. The two new products from Suzhou iPRO aim to overcome these limitations through a series of innovative breakthroughs:

1. Ultra-Low Warping, Broad Compatibility

PC is prone to warping during 3D printing, compromising both success rates and dimensional accuracy.

Leveraging molecular chain control technology from a leading German materials company, combined with iPRO’s proprietary fiber-reinforcement process, these new PC filaments solve the industry’s long-standing warping problem—no heated chamber required. Even the open-frame Bambu A1, with a glue-coated bed, can print them successfully.

The PC GF and PC CF deliver excellent surface finish and precision, meeting the tight tolerances required for miniature components such as micro electric engine gears.

2. Ultra-Low Moisture Absorption—Strength That Lasts

With a moisture absorption rate of just ~0.20%, PC GF and PC CF outperform competing PA-based filaments—only one-fourth that of PAHT CF and one-tenth that of PA6 GF—while matching or exceeding their rigidity. Layer adhesion is superior, and mechanical performance remains virtually unchanged in wet conditions, outperforming PA composites that degrade significantly after moisture exposure.

This makes them ideal for water-contact parts such as surfboard fins, brackets, and pump housings.

3. Upgraded Weather Resistance—Unfazed by the Elements

PC naturally offers good UV stability and heat resistance. Through synergistic polymer modification and fiber reinforcement, iPRO has enhanced these traits further.

With a heat deflection temperature of around 110 °C—well above outdoor extremes—PC GF and PC CF can withstand boiling water without deformation. They are excellent choices for outdoor electrical enclosures, small wind turbines, and other demanding environmental applications.

4. High-Speed Printing—Accelerating Creativity

Optimized for enclosed CoreXY printers such as the Bambu P1S, these filaments achieve 350 mm/s infill printing speeds without sacrificing quality.

PC GF supports AMS and CFS automatic feeding systems and is available in six traditional Chinese colors—Yuanqing (Azure), Ruba i (Milk White), Jiahui (Ash Grey), Jin Hong (Golden Red), Cangcang (Slate Blue), and Shiliu Qun (Pomegranate Skirt). These provide a refined matte texture, elevating the aesthetic appeal of printed parts.

With their unprecedented performance, PC CF and PC GF set a new benchmark for fiber-reinforced PC filaments in China. They answer the market’s call for a PA moisture-absorption solution while enabling high-strength, high-precision, and high-durability manufacturing across a wide range of specialized applications—opening new possibilities for 3D printing projects.

Currently available on iPRO’s official Taobao and Douyin stores, both products are offered with a two-month launch promotion at 15% off: PC CF at 238 RMB/kg and PC GF at 187 RMB/kg, with limited 250 g trial packs also available.
