From November 19 to 22, 2024, the highly anticipated Formnext exhibition—a premier global event for the 3D printing industry—was held in Frankfurt. Gathering over 860 leading manufacturers, material suppliers, research institutions, and innovative enterprises from across the world, Formnext showcased the cutting edge of additive manufacturing. Anycubic presented its latest technologies and groundbreaking products in the consumer 3D printing sector, drawing widespread attention from global customers and industry media alike. The event also saw live coverage and interviews conducted by 3D printing media outlet Panda3dp.com.

Kobra S1 Combo: A Groundbreaking CoreXY Multicolor FDM Printer

A highlight of Anycubic’s display was the Kobra S1 Combo, the brand’s first CoreXY-structured multicolor FDM printer. This innovative device supports up to 8-color printing and features an integrated active drying system, enabling simultaneous drying and printing processes to enhance print quality. Equipped with a 320°C high-temperature nozzle and a stable enclosed chamber, the Kobra S1 Combo ensures reliable printing of functional materials such as ASA and PETG, captivating attendees with its advanced capabilities.

Kobra 3 Max: Redefining Large-Scale Multicolor Printing

Making its debut alongside the Kobra S1 Combo, the Kobra 3 Max impressed with its exceptional 420 × 420 × 500 mm build volume and 8-color printing capability. This printer inherits the ACE Pro active drying technology from the Kobra 3 Combo, delivering synchronized drying and printing for superior outcomes, even for large prints like helmets or oversized tools. Its ability to produce high-quality results in such significant volumes made it a standout attraction at the exhibition.

Photon Mono M7 Max: The New Standard for Large-Scale Resin Printing

Another showstopper was the Photon Mono M7 Max, a high-performance resin printer designed to set new benchmarks in its category. Featuring an expansive 14.7-liter capacity (298 × 164 × 300 mm), a COB light source, reinforced lead screws, and dynamic peeling technology, this printer significantly boosts stability and precision. Compared to its predecessor, the Photon Mono M7 Max doubles printing speed, drastically reducing production cycles. Innovations such as a heated resin vat and advanced material feeding module further optimize material management and ensure consistent results. With eight user-centric design enhancements, the printer not only improves ease of use but also dramatically increases success rates, marking a major breakthrough in resin printing.
