As a widely used reinforcement fiber, carbon fiber boasts remarkable properties such as high hardness, superior strength, lightweight, excellent chemical resistance, and high-temperature tolerance. To date, eSUN易生 has introduced a variety of carbon fiber-enhanced materials, including PLA-CF, ABS-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, PA12-CF, and PA12+CF.

eSUN's PETG-CF material, enhanced with carbon fiber, significantly improves the material’s strength, rigidity, and hardness while reducing warping deformation. It finds extensive applications in the production of jigs, fixtures, prototypes, electronics, and automotive components. PETG-CF is now available on eSUN’s Tmall flagship store.  

 

 

Key Features of PETG-CF:  

 

 

1. Enhanced Mechanical Properties:  

   Compared to regular PETG, PETG-CF exhibits a substantial increase in rigidity and strength. Testing results show a flexural modulus of 2500 MPa, representing a 203% improvement, and a 190% increase in flexural strength.  

 

2. Superior Printing Performance:  

   PETG-CF minimizes issues such as stringing, leakage, and nozzle clogging during printing, while significantly reducing warping.  

 

 

3. Enhanced Stability and Durability:  

   PETG inherently offers water resistance and chemical stability. With the addition of carbon fiber, these properties are further enhanced, providing improved resistance to corrosive substances.  

 


4. Aesthetic and Color Options:  

   Unlike traditional carbon fiber materials, which are typically black, PETG-CF offers a diverse range of colors, including dark gray, antique copper, black-red, ink green, and deep blue. The printed models feature a matte, frosted texture for an elegant finish.  

 

Usage Tips:  


Carbon fiber materials can cause greater wear on printer nozzles. It is recommended to use hardened steel nozzles when printing with such materials. To prevent moisture-related issues, ensure the material is properly dried before printing. Suggested drying conditions are 65°C for at least 8 hours.
