On April 9, 2025, the United States officially implemented a 104% tariff on Chinese imports. During a product launch event held by Creality in Shenzhen, Panda3dp.com learned that leading Chinese consumer-grade 3D printer manufacturers such as TwoTrees and Creality are preparing to significantly raise their prices in the U.S. market. American consumers will soon have to bear the burden of substantially increased costs.
Given the already slim profit margins in the 3D printing industry, no manufacturer can withstand the impact of such exorbitant tariffs.
In discussions with industry insiders, many urged Panda3dp.com to use its voice within the 3D printing community to call for solidarity with the nation during these challenging times. They advocated for a unified pricing strategy for exports to the U.S., discouraging ruinous price competition. “Do not kill your peers through undercutting—only to bankrupt yourself in the process,” they said. “Let us strive for longevity and sustainable development.”
Some 3D printer manufacturers have already begun taking action. Panda3dp.com has confirmed that TwoTrees has officially raised its prices in the U.S. market. |
