In August 2025, the Formnext Shenzhen exhibition was ablaze with excitement as Suzhou AmPro Innovations Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “AmPro Innovations Intelligent”), a rapidly rising force in metal 3D printing, took center stage. With years of swift growth propelling it to the forefront of the industry, the company captivated audiences by unveiling an array of groundbreaking technologies and products. At the event, Panda3dp.com interviewed General Manager Guo of AmPro Innovations Intelligent, delving into the innovative achievements showcased across aerospace, consumer electronics, footwear molds, and beyond.

Multi-Laser Metal Printing Systems: Striking a Balance Between Efficiency and Compact Design

AmPro Innovations’s newly presented SP430 metal 3D printer supports configurations of up to 8 or even 16 lasers—making it one of the most laser-rich systems currently available in the industry. Coupled with its bidirectional powder spreading technology, the device delivers a dramatic leap in printing efficiency.

Despite its powerful capabilities, the SP430 requires only 4.7 square meters of floor space—ideal for industrial parks in South China’s urban hubs such as Dongguan and Shenzhen, where vertical “upstairs factory” layouts are common. As Mr. Guo emphasized: “We don’t merely provide standalone machines; we deliver full-scale solutions. Whether it’s 10, 50, or 100 units working in unison, our systems enable highly efficient collaborative printing—driving down costs while boosting productivity for our clients.”

Designed with industries such as footwear and 3C electronics in mind, the SP430 integrates domestically manufactured lasers and galvanometer systems. This not only strengthens the local supply chain but also ensures better control over costs and delivery schedules.

Cutting-Edge Applications: Showcasing Integrated Technological Prowess

Among the many application samples on display were:

Commercial Aerospace Engine Nozzle: Produced with the SP600 printer, featuring intricate internal cooling channels. Already adopted in real-world aerospace applications.

0.3mm Ultra-Thin Heat Sink & VR Headset Integrated Cooler:

The 0.3mm heat sink, with internal cooling channels as fine as 0.15mm, is crafted using AmPro Innovations’s self-developed GA520 alloy. Its design leverages the strengths of additive manufacturing, enabling topological optimization of thermal pathways from the outset—dramatically enhancing heat dissipation. It provides a powerful solution to the thermal challenges faced in advanced computing, high-end chips, and consumer electronics.

AmPro Innovations also showcased a novel one-piece VR headset heat sink. Tailored to the headset’s internal geometry, it incorporates complex fluid channels that guide coolant precisely, whisking away excess heat. The 3D-printed design seamlessly integrates both structural support and thermal management functions without increasing space consumption, achieving a harmonious blend of strength, functionality, and efficiency.

Integrated Titanium Alloy Hinge Ornament — A Fusion of Technology and Aesthetics:

This exquisitely crafted titanium hinge allows smooth, seamless rotation at any angle. Beyond its remarkable precision, the component boasts enhanced density and a polished, high-gloss finish, elevating its elegance. The sample highlights AmPro Innovations’s ability to merge structural performance with refined aesthetics, opening fresh possibilities for consumer electronics applications.

Materials Breakthrough: Anodizable Aluminum Alloys GA Series

AmPro Innovations Intelligent also unveiled its GA series of high-strength aluminum alloys—GA570, GA520, and GA480—engineered exclusively for additive manufacturing. Offering excellent thermal stability and structural strength below 250°C, these alloys exhibit tensile strengths of 485–570 MPa with elongations of 12–17%. Such properties make them ideal for aerospace and consumer electronics applications requiring both lightweight precision and resistance to thermal stress.

GA480: The industry’s first 3D-printed aluminum alloy to undergo anodizing, delivering an exceptionally fine metallic finish—an ideal material for consumer electronics with stringent appearance requirements.

GA520: A flagship alloy for structural components in smart devices and 3C applications. Its outstanding properties enable use in heat sinks, drones, and wearables, providing lightweight yet robust solutions for both consumer and aerospace clients.

GA570: Proven in aerospace environments such as heat exchangers and engine housings, showcasing durability and reliability under extreme conditions.

All three alloys excel in printability and streamlined heat treatment, offering robust support for complex designs and large-scale industrialization—injecting fresh vitality into the additive manufacturing sector.
