 RAPID+TCT 2024, the largest and most influential additive manufacturing trade show in North America, was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 2024, showcasing industry-leading products and the latest 3D printing technologies.

According to Nanjixiong, CNPC POWDER, a private domestic 3D printing metal powder manufacturer, has participated and introduced multiple products during the fair. CNPC POWDER is based on the strategic of “Technology Innovation” and “Internationalization”, and its slogan is “high quality 3D printing metal powders at very competitive price”, aiming to promote the large-scale production of 3D printing industry.

CNPC POWDER has long been engaged in the research and production of 3D metal powders, continuously promoting the improvement of material production process and optimization of metal alloys. High Strength Aluminium Alloys

Currently, CNPC POWDER produces a wide range of aluminium-based alloys, including AlSi10Mg, AlSi7Mg, AlMgSc, Series 5 Aluminium Alloy (Aluminium-Magnesium), High Strength Aluminium Alloy (Aluminium-Cerium), High Temperature Resistant Aluminium Alloy (Aluminium-Cerium), Series 6 Aluminium Alloy, AlSi9Cu3, Series 5 Aluminium Alloy (Aluminium-Magnesium-Manganese). The main particle size range is between 15-53μm, 20-63μm, 20-70μm. It has the advantages of good flowability, high sphericity (over 92%), good particle distribution, very low satellite powder, low cost efective, etc. It meets a variety of lightweight applications.

Recycled Titanium Alloys

CNPC POWDER has also achieved remarkable results in the innovation of titanium alloy materials. In response to the high cost of titanium alloy powder, it has introduced a recycled powder manufacturing process, which not only costs half, but also achieves essentially the same performance of recycled titanium alloy materials as virgin powder (see performance comparison chart below).

The Recycled titanium alloys are environmentally friendly and reusable, and are expected to become an alternative to traditional titanium alloy powders without losing quality and performance, allowing a wider application of 3D printing technology in many fields, such as military, aerospace and consumer electronics.

It is worth mentioning that CNPC POWDER became the first 3D printing metal powder manufacturer in the local industry to obtain SCS certification for 100% titanium alloy recycled materials in September 2023, with a production process that emits only 10% of the carbon emissions of the traditional EIGA production process.
