Panda3dp.com speculates that a number of leading companies in the 3D printing sector will see their revenues either approach or exceed 1 billion CNY. These companies include Bright Laser Technologies (Xi’an), Shining 3D (Hangzhou), Creality (Shenzhen), Anycubic (Shenzhen), Bambu Lab (Shenzhen), Elegoo (Shenzhen), Kings 3D Printing (Shenzhen), SprintRay (Zhejiang), and xTool (Shenzhen). Additionally, there are many publicly listed companies engaged in 3D printing-related businesses with revenues exceeding 1 billion CNY, though they will not be covered in this article.  

 

Industrial 3D Printing Manufacturer – Bright Laser Technologies (BLT)

 

Bright Laser Technologies, a publicly listed company focusing on metal 3D printing, achieved a significant milestone in 2023 with its revenue exceeding 1 billion CNY for the first time, reaching 1.232 billion CNY. In the first three quarters of 2024, BLT reported revenues of 732 million CNY, a year-on-year decrease of 9.9714 million CNY. However, given that the company typically sees its highest revenues in the fourth quarter—historically accounting for 39.8% to 67.96% of annual income—it is almost certain that BLT's 2024 revenues will again exceed 1 billion CNY.  

 

In 2024, BLT upgraded its metal 3D printers, enhancing their efficiency and stability to better meet the demands of mass production. Analysts have also noted that components for Apple Watch are now produced using 3D printing technology supplied by BLT.  

 

 

The BLT 400 series has undergone multiple iterations, earning high acclaim from clients in diverse industries. For instance, an aerospace customer has purchased nearly 30 units, while a client in the footwear mold sector has acquired almost 40. As of now, BLT has delivered over 700 units of the BLT 400 series, establishing a new benchmark for industrial-grade 3D printers.

3D Scanner Manufacturer – Shining 3D  

 

Shining 3D, a leading domestic producer of 3D scanners, surpassed 1 billion CNY in revenue for the first time in 2023, reaching 1.018 billion CNY—a year-on-year increase of 32.56%. Sales of 3D scanners accounted for 90% of this revenue, or approximately 909 million CNY. According to its 2024 mid-year financial report, Shining 3D achieved revenues of 523 million CNY in the first half of the year, marking a 12.3% year-on-year increase. This suggests that its 2024 annual revenue will again surpass 1 billion CNY.  

 

 

Founded in 2004, Shining 3D celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024. The company continues to maintain a strong focus on research and development, investing nearly 300 million CNY in 2024. The completion of its third-phase R&D and production base in Hangzhou, spanning over 90,000 square meters, underscores this commitment. Furthermore, in 2024, the company introduced nine new technologies, products, and solutions, such as wireless handheld 3D scanners, metrology-grade blue-light 3D scanners, and innovative dental digitalization systems.  

 

 

Desktop 3D Printer Manufacturer – Creality  

 

Creality, an unlisted Shenzhen-based company specializing in desktop 3D printers, primarily exports its products to overseas markets. Although its financial reports are not publicly available, Panda3dp.com estimates that Creality's annual shipments exceeded 1 million units as early as 2020. With an average unit price of 1,000 to 2,000 CNY, the company’s revenue had already surpassed 1 billion CNY by that year. In 2024, Creality's revenue is estimated to have significantly exceeded this figure.  

 

According to the General Administration of Customs, China exported 2.845 million 3D printers (excluding parts) from January to September 2024, valued at 6.33 billion CNY. Panda3dp.com predicts that the annual export volume of 3D printers in 2024 could reach 4 million units, a 13% year-on-year increase. Including industrial-grade equipment and materials, the total export value might even reach 15 billion CNY.  

 

 

Creality marked its 10th anniversary in 2024 by launching flagship products such as the K2 Plus Combo, the large-format CoreXZ Ender-3 V3 Plus, the ultra-high precision 14K HALOT-MAGE S, and the dual-light-source CR-Scan Raptor. The company also implemented policies to support 3D printing farms, including establishing farms in Shanxi and Shandong provinces, housing thousands of Creality printers.  

 

Creality's new factory in Huizhou became operational in 2024, delivering over 1 million 3D printers globally. Once fully operational, the factory's annual production capacity will exceed 3 million units.  

 

 

Desktop 3D Printer Manufacturer – Anycubic  

 

Anycubic is another standout in the consumer-grade 3D printing segment, highly favored in overseas markets. With a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees, Panda3dp.com estimates that Anycubic's annual revenue surpasses 1 billion CNY.  

 

In 2017, Anycubic launched its first LCD 3D printer, the Photon, featuring a 2K resolution and a disruptive price point that quickly established its presence in the resin-based consumer-grade market. Since then, Anycubic has consistently improved its product lineup. By 2023, the Photon Mono 2 reached 4K resolution, the Photon M3 series advanced to 8K, and the Photon Mono M5 series achieved 14K resolution while introducing a leveling-free platform for the first time in consumer-grade 3D printers. In 2024, the Photon Mono M7 series further refined the 14K resolution by adding intelligent settings for a smoother resin printing process.  

 

In the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) desktop printer category, Anycubic introduced innovations like the Kobra 3 Combo, a four-color printer, and the Kobra S1 Combo, a fully enclosed CoreXY structure with eight-color printing capabilities. The Kobra 3 Combo was recognized by CNET as one of the "Best 3D Printers of 2024."  

 

 

Desktop 3D Printer Manufacturer – Bambu Lab  

 

Bambu Lab is arguably the fastest-growing company in the global 3D printing industry. Established only four years ago, it has rapidly risen to become an industry leader. The popularity of 3D printing farms in 2024 further boosted Bambu Lab's success. Thousands of 3D printing farms emerged across China, with each farm equipped with dozens to thousands of 3D printers, many supplied by Bambu Lab. However, increasing competition from Creality, FlashForge, Anycubic, and other brands has started diversifying the market.  

 

During the 2024 Singles’ Day shopping festival, Bambu Lab's sales exceeded 100 million CNY, making it the top seller in its category. The company’s revenue is estimated to have reached several billion CNY in 2024, possibly ranking as one of the highest in the global 3D printing industry.  

 

 

Additionally, Bambu Lab’s 3D model-sharing platform, Makerworld, has gained immense popularity among users, offering a robust ecosystem with high-quality 3D printing models.  

 

Desktop 3D Printer Manufacturer – Elegoo  

 

According to a report by UK-based market intelligence firm CONTEXT, entry-level 3D printers (priced below $2,500) experienced explosive growth in Q2 2024. These printers accounted for 48% of global 3D printer revenue, surpassing industrial systems (38%) as the highest revenue category. Notably, 94% of these entry-level printer shipments came from four Chinese companies: Creality, Bambu Lab, Anycubic, and Elegoo.  

 

Founded in 2015, Elegoo evolved from producing STEM kits to developing 3D printers. Its revenue grew sixfold within five years, driven by the overseas consumer-grade 3D printer boom. By 2023, Elegoo's revenue had reached 1.2 billion CNY. Its product line includes resin 3D printers, FDM 3D printers, laser engravers, and STEM circuit kits. To date, Elegoo has sold over 1 million units across 70 countries and regions, with North America and Europe being key markets.  

 


Industrial 3D Printer Manufacturer – Kings 3D Printing  

 

Kings 3D Printing operates over 30 subsidiaries nationwide and offers equipment and services across SLA, SLM, SLS, FDM, FGF, and CNC technologies. With more than 1,000 employees and a production base spanning over 200,000 square meters, Kings 3D Printing has one of the most extensive industry layouts in China.  

 

 

In 2024, the company introduced seven new products, obtained 91 new patents, and deepened its multi-category, nationwide development strategy. The group's total shipments exceeded 4,000 units in 2024, predominantly industrial-grade 3D printers. Panda3dp.com estimates that Kings 3D Printing's revenue in 2024 may approach 1 billion CNY, though this figure remains unverified.  

 

Dental 3D Printing Manufacturer – SprintRay

 

Established in 2013 in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, SprintRay is a global tech company specializing in 3D printing solutions for the dental industry. With branches in Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou, SprintRay aims to drive digital transformation in dentistry by providing chairside solutions, including 3D printers, materials, software, and AI-based design services.  

 

 

SprintRay’s dental resin 3D printers dominate nearly half of the U.S. dental clinic market. In December 2024, SprintRay hosted the 3DNext2024 Asia-Pacific Elite Summit, unveiling its groundbreaking Midas printer. Priced at $10,000, this device can produce three ceramic dental crowns within 10 minutes, garnering significant attention in the dental sector.

Laser Engraving Manufacturer – xTool

 

Previously focused on educational products, Makeblock pivoted to consumer electronics in 2021 with the launch of xTool. Its core offerings include laser engravers and 3D printers. Within just two to three years, xTool became a top-tier brand in its field. In 2022, xTool's revenue exceeded 1 billion CNY.  

 

The consumer-grade laser engraving market has emerged as a billion-dollar industry globally, with numerous Chinese brands competing in this space. On Kickstarter, there have been eight laser-related projects raising over $1 million, with the highest exceeding $5.93 million. xTool has been a standout performer in this emerging market.  

 

 

Conclusion  

 

The nine companies highlighted—Bright Laser Technologies, Shining 3D, Creality, Anycubic, Bambu Lab, Elegoo, Kings 3D Printing, SprintRay, and xTool—are projected to achieve revenues exceeding 1 billion CNY in 2024. These estimates are speculative and subject to verification.  

 

Surprisingly, six of these companies are based in Shenzhen. Five focus on consumer-grade equipment, and seven derive over 80% of their revenue from exports.
